Many protein powders are made with whey protein or some other animal-based protein. This can make it difficult for vegans who want to get an extra boost of protein for their workout.
Additionally, many vegan-friendly protein powders are made with soy protein. While effective, soy protein contains phytoestrogen. The effects of phytoestrogen are unknown, but concerns over it have led to many studies linking it to serious health disorders including prostate, breast, and other cancers.

As mentioned before, the concerns over soy protein made us consider alternatives and pea protein was by far the most advantageous alternative we could find. In addition to avoiding the risks of cancer, here are some of the other benefits of pea protein:

While our protein powder is advantageous for vegans, it is also an ideal alternative to whey protein for vegetarians and those who are lactose intolerant.
