Is it Friday yet??

We have family and friends arriving in CA starting tomorrow – I hope you have fun site seeing before all the festivities begin. All the dresses are ready, programs are finished, gifts are wrapped, and entrees have been counted. With just a few minor details to finish up this week, I’m ready to get this show on the road!

We're Back!

Hofmanville network server was experiencing some technical difficulties the past 24 hours. We apologize for any inconveniences. A new router, access point and a whatchamacallit and we're back up and running!
12 more days!

16 Days To Go!

Just two weeks before all of the festivities begin! Thinking about the upcoming week is making it sink in a little more that the day is almost here! Teeth cleaning, hair and makeup trial run, final dress fitting, pre-wedding parties…all the final touches.

Nothing too stresful going on... just a few invitations that have gotten lost in the shuffle. From what I hear the bridge construction in the SF/Oakland area is not causing any traffic confusion/delays...no more than usual anyway.
Bon Voyage to my brother who leaves tomorrow from Chapel Hill, NC to start his journey across the country, stopping in TX, CO, OR and wherever else the map takes him...finally ending up in CA. Looking forward to your arrival!
Here's to a relaxing week before the crazy week begins :)

Day Of The Wedding: Don't Forget To Eat!

Thanks Gina for the link...I've been wanting to post an update lately but my mind is a little preoccupied... so this is from yumsugar.com. The bridal party will be enjoying a full day at the salon on June 23rd so this will come in handy.

Our ongoing coverage of wedding season on the Sugar Network is back! As nervous and stressful as you may get on the big day, it's super important to remember to eat - especially breakfast (don't skip it!). Whether you are a bridesmaid, the maid of honor, or the bride herself, the last thing you want is to have one glass of champagne and pass out at the wedding.

To avoid this embarrassing fate, the bride should organize a snack table or provide bag lunches for all of those involved in the wedding party. If the bride is overwhelmed, the job can be distributed to a trusted and reliable bridesmaid or close friend. For some quick and easy wedding day snackables:

* Fresh fruit such as apples, bananas
* Mini cracker bags
* Cheeses
* Carrots and ranch dip
* Baguette with brie, basil, and proscuitto
* Homemade Pasta Salad With Mozzarella, Sun-Dried Tomatoes & Olives in Chinese take out containers
* Bottled water
* Boxes of animal crackers
* Fizzy juice drinks
* Hummus and pita chips
* Mini cookies from your favorite bakery
* Single bite chocolates
