Christmas 2006

Hope everyone enjoyed the past week of festivities - had their fill of holiday treats, gift giving and celebrating. We spent Christmas weekend in FL with my family – showing David the sites at Clearwater Beach, the Sponge docks, Snappers (the Steeler bar where David became a Steeler fan for a day :)) and spending some quality time with the Tracy family. We set sail tomorrow on our next adventure. Let's pray for some peaceful waters.

Tis The Season

Tis the season to be jolly...and busy. We've been (as I'm sure everyone has) busy with holiday parties, shopping, wrapping, decorating...and taking care of a sick puppy. Yesterday was the annual Hofman shindig...no old home-videos this year, but I got to display my fooz ball skills with the kids and I heard some interesting stories about Uncle Dirk. I'm happy to say I can finally put a name to every Hofman face - and that's a lot of faces to remember!

Zeus is just about back to normal after his emergency surgery last week. He's currently sporting a stylish Bite-Not (similar to a neck brace) and is as needy as ever - definitely a good trial for the upcoming years.
The bridesmaids' dresses have been chosen and will be ordered soon. Mari, Kim, Kate, Leslie, Julie, Kendra and Audrey, otherwise known as the Magnificent 7 (queue the theme music), have agreed to be part of our circus. Thanks Ladies!

Quasi Wedding Professional

Rumor has it the announcement made it into the Erie paper yesterday. That's one good thing about having those pictures taken. Looks like the photographer who took our engagement pictures has gone awol. Pictures were supposedly sent UPS (all the way from Stockton) 3 weeks ago...but haven't arrived yet. Finally got ahold of him last week and he said he misplaced them, found them and they would be sent the next day. Still no pictures...and no return phone calls or emails. I knew there was something not-right about that guy. Good thing we booked someone else for June 23rd. And...we have the digital pictures we can print from.

Speaking of not going right - I saw an episode of Bridzillas last weekend where the florist didn't show up for the wedding! A wedding without flowers? Talk about an angry bride - she was not happy - resembled a combination of a bride and Godzilla. Good to know that's not something I need to worry about, right ladies?
