Three Years

1,095 days...26,280 hours....a whole bunch of minutes...(you get the idea)...Seems like a long time? As of Nov 15th, Lisa and I have been together 3 years now and it still appears that we are finding out new and interesting things about each other. Because of our busy work schedules (I was in NY, Lisa was saving the world by teaching tomorrow's leaders about nutrition), we didn't have a chance to celebrate our anniversary until last evening.

Lisa wanted to get out of the Central Valley and take a trip to the 'City to have a relaxing dinner. So, after work on Friday we opted not to take BART, quickly found directions and we were off (only after Lisa grabbed her new wallet --- thanks to Kendra and Audrey; that's ALL she needed).

A little over 1.5 hours and 25 topics later, we arrived at our destination - North Beach. Well, okay - mapquest got us lost once and I was reminded that my Tahoe isn't really meant for city parking. We then walked to a little Italian restaurant recommended by Gina - Firenze By Night Restaurant. An appetizer, a couple of salads, and a wonderful meal later, we were off to explore the SF nightlife. After frequenting a couple of drinking establishments, we decided to call it a night. A short drive home and that's another year in the books. A couple days late and a little unplanned (my specialty), but you know what --- I wouldn't trade the last three years for anything else.

David, sure glad that you found Lisa, for she is the only one to keep you in line. Lisa, can't wait for you to become part of the family.
