What's next on the list?
Those of you familiar with theknot.com, know that they provide a monthly checklist for you to help you stay on track with your wedding planning. Well, I’ve finally been able to check a few things off the list! The biggest accomplishment is that the dress has been found and purchased…without a lot of hassle, I’m happy to say. It was the second place my mom and I visited – but it was known to carry the dress I’d located on the internet…in my size! That was the first stop on our list Friday morning and just happened to be our last. So by 11am Friday morning we had accomplished what I thought would take two days! We also looked at bridesmaid dresses at Sonora Bridal and got some good ideas to start with. Later that afternoon I took my mom to the possible reception sites in CA and we even had time to see our lovely property in Oakdale! Saturday we visited Kendra and Audrey at Main Street Floral and looked at flower ideas for bouquets, the ceremony and table arrangements, which was very helpful. After lunch with Kendra and David’s mom, Pat, we went to a few stationary stores to get ideas for invitations and save the dates. Alll-in-all – a very successful weekend! What's next on the list? Right, the location...almost forgot.

How about...Honeymoons!!!
So far every entry or comment has dealt with the planning of the wedding in one way or another. I think the time has come to discuss the best part of the entire process....The Honeymoon, of course! So many options, so many chances for outrageous sunburns.A quick google search pulls up the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas (very nice. http://www.atlantis.com) or Jamaica (Jamaica Mon). Either one I am definitely excited about. Much more than how many flowers are required for each table (by the way, visit our exclusive flower provider Main Street Floral) or what color the bridesmaid dresses should be...
Just a thought to break up the location dilemma.

The Possibilities are Endless
As you know we’ve been spending the past few weeks looking at sites around here - the Doubletree in Modesto, Wine and Roses in Lodi, Le Ranch or the Reata in Oakdale, we gave Vegas a passing thought, dreamt about Maui and even considered meeting in the middle in Colorado. What does the east coast have to offer, you ask?
Option 1 is the Sunset Inn, right next to Lake Erie, Option 2 is going back to my old stomping grounds in Edinboro to Nick’s Place or Option 3 is right across the NY border at Peek n Peak, the skiing/golf resort, depending on the season.
That's the list in a nutshell. There were a couple places here and there that couldn't accomadate all of our lovely guests, so they got scratched. Looks like we'll be spending the next few weeks doing more of the same.
