Destination Wedding

What if…everyone met half way and we got married in Colorado (is that half way?)?!? We could choose from a mountaintop retreat or a Swiss hotel! I’m in one of the most beautiful resorts I’ve ever been to (work-related learning about diabetes management in kids, but a nice escape as well). Everything is a gorgeous green with lakes and rivers rolling through. It’s so peaceful and relaxing here with perfect sunny weather in the upper 70’s. The resort is 7 miles long with 8 different villages connected by bike paths. Each village has its own restaurants and little travel and touristy shops. Have I convinced anyone yet?

I walked about 2 miles this morning to another village for breakfast and some site seeing (haven't attempted running yet due to the lack of O2 up here!). On the way there, I passed by the ski lifts and huge ski slopes – these villages are fairly empty this time of the year, but I’d love to see them covered with a blanket of snow. Somehow it makes the cold and snow more appealing if you can warm up in the ski lodge next to the fire while enjoying a warm meal. Either way, I’ll definitely be back!

Thank you Aunt Peg - I appreciate it. It's nice to be reminded that it is wherever we (I) want...ha ha.

You can get married wherever you want. This day is for the 2 of you. Hopefully, it will be in this country cause I don't have a passport but we will try to get to wherever you decide to jump the broom.
