It has been one month since the proposal and we’re definitely moving at a snail’s pace. The guest list is more-or-less complete, still finalizing the budget and waiting to see what the chosen location will hold. Doing a lot of research on sites and visiting the ones that we can. Looks like the bride-to-be’s side is leading in the Getting Hitched participation poll. Thanks for all your comments. Not that this is a competition, but I know the groom’s side have lots of (very funny) comments and opinions.

You’ll be happy to know that David and I haven’t strangled, choked, suffocated – you get the picture – each other YET! Planning a wedding has to provoke a few squabbles here and there, right? The coming months have to be more productive…

I think that the place and date will come naturally when you find the right place that fits the two of you. The rest of us will manage to get there. Take your time and find the right place and the right time. When you decide, those of us having to travel can make the arrangements accordingly.

Well, I can't wait to get to CA and sit down with you and talk about all of these important decisions. It is really the only reason that I want to return to FL, so I can fly to CA. KAT - Bride's MOM

Finding the location and date is the easy part. Wait until you go register. Jeff couldn't understand why I would want nice dishes that matched and what would you ever do with them all. No-one cares about if the pattern matched or not, I was told, as long as the food was good. Now all those ladies out there know that's not true. If you really get stuck, I believe there has to be some wedding chapel in Vegas with an Elvis impersonator that has your names on it!

Hey Lisa (and Dave) - Thought that I would post something for the Hofman side. We enjoy the website also, and if there is anything that I could help you with, please let me know. There are lots of decisions to make, but I am sure that they will all come together and your special day will be beautiful.
