I ran in that race!
Now That's Motivation: Terry Stanley sent the Runner's World office an email earlier this week stating he had just won the Presque Isle Marathon (Erie, PA)-- a race he also won 28 years ago in 1977. He wondered if this 28-year-span between wins might be some sort of record. After consulting with Ken Young of the Association of Road Racing Statisticians it was determined that Terry does indeed top the world list for this little known statistic. Previously the Big Kahuna was England's Hugh Jones who had a 25 year 332 day span between his wins.
