Ripon Almond Blossom Festival 8K
The “L in almond is silent for those of you not from around here. Add Ripon to the list of cities I’ve raced in – maybe town is a better word. The route was mainly through neighborhoods and country roads surrounded by fields of blossoming almond trees. I hadn’t been feeling 100% the past few weeks and was happy to round the last corner and see the finish line. 43:03 was the time – about where I had planned to be. Trish came in after me (deciding at the last minute to run) and Kendra finishing her first race ever! The Viss boys crossing awhile ahead of us – they like to show off :). Now it’s time to enjoy a little break before I start thinking about the next one.
